Anime Rizz Tier List: Who Actually Has It?

|The Rizz Club Team

Rizz is charisma, and anime is full of characters who either have it effortlessly or have none at all. This tier list ranks well-known characters on one thing only: how they carry themselves around other people. It's opinion, not science — argue with us freely.

How we ranked

We looked at four things: confidence, how little effort it takes them, how they treat others, and whether the charm works without them trying. Power level doesn't count; being the strongest doesn't make you smooth.

Criteria What we looked for
Confidence Do they stay calm when things go wrong?
Effortlessness Does it look like they're trying?
How they treat people Charm without respect doesn't count
Presence Do people notice when they walk in?

S tier: effortless

  • Satoru Gojo (Jujutsu Kaisen). Walks in like the room belongs to him, jokes at the worst possible moment, and still earns loyalty. Peak unspoken rizz.
  • Itachi Uchiha (Naruto). Barely speaks and still dominates the scene. Quiet, calm and mysterious.
  • Makima (Chainsaw Man). Calm, composed and magnetic, with a presence that makes people want to please her. (The charm is complicated, but the rizz is undeniable.)

A tier: strong rizz, a few flaws

  • Kakashi Hatake (Naruto). Late to everything, reads a book mid-fight, and somehow it works.
  • Killua Zoldyck (Hunter x Hunter). Cool, sarcastic and loyal, with just enough softness.
  • Roronoa Zoro (One Piece). Confident and loyal, minus the sense of direction.
  • Mikasa Ackerman (Attack on Titan). Composed, fiercely loyal and quietly impressive. She doesn't need to say much.

B tier: charming in the right moments

  • Levi Ackerman (Attack on Titan). Intense and put-together. Gets points for style, loses some for being very hard to talk to.
  • Vegeta (Dragon Ball). Huge presence, but the pride gets in the way of the charm.
  • Nami (One Piece). Witty and confident, and she knows exactly how to work a room, usually for profit.
  • Yor Forger (Spy x Family). Elegant and capable, with an endearing awkwardness that actually adds to the charm.

C tier: tries hard, mixed results

  • Sanji (One Piece). Has all the moves and still flops, because he'll fall for anyone who walks past.
  • Light Yagami (Death Note). Wildly charming on the surface, but the plan is the problem.

The summary table

Tier Characters The vibe
S Gojo, Itachi, Makima Effortless, calm, magnetic
A Kakashi, Killua, Zoro, Mikasa Cool with small flaws
B Levi, Vegeta, Nami, Yor Strong presence, rough or quirky charm
C Sanji, Light Tries too hard

What high-rizz characters have in common

Trait Why it works
Calm under pressure Staying relaxed reads as confidence
Says less Mystery and restraint are more interesting than over-explaining
Loyal People trust and respect consistency
A little humour It keeps the cool from feeling cold
Doesn't chase approval The best charm doesn't look like it's trying

The four types of anime rizz

  • The quiet one. Itachi and Mikasa. Say little, mean everything.
  • The playful one. Gojo and Kakashi. Humour as a form of confidence.
  • The magnetic one. Makima. Presence that fills the room.
  • The try-hard. Sanji and Light. All effort, and you can see it.

Notice that three of the four types work, and the one that doesn't is the one that's visibly trying. That's the whole lesson of rizz in a single list.

Why some characters have rizz and others don't

The pattern is simple: the characters with the most rizz rarely try. They stay calm, say less, and stay loyal. The ones that lose points are over-eager, over-performing or relying on a plan. Funnily enough, that's close to real life, too — see how to get rizz without being cringe.

Why we judged "on-screen" charm, not romance

Plenty of anime characters have a love interest and no rizz, and plenty have rizz and no love interest at all. We ranked how people react to a character in a scene, not who they end up with. That's why a loner like Itachi outranks characters with far more screen romance.

Honourable mentions

  • Vash the Stampede (Trigun). Chaotic goofball, but undeniably magnetic.
  • Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop). The original "I don't care" cool.

Frequently asked questions

Why isn't (your favourite) on the list? We only ranked a handful. Tell us who we missed.

Does the strongest character have the most rizz? No. Power and charm are different things, which is why Vegeta isn't S tier.

Can a villain have rizz? Absolutely. Charisma and morality are separate, and a lot of memorable villains have plenty of it.

Is this list official? No. It's one opinion, and the fun is in disagreeing.

New to the word? Here's what "rizz" means. And if you'd like your own signature aura, the Discovery Set has eight to try — maybe one of them is your Gojo.

Quick answer

Our S tier is Gojo, Itachi and Makima. Calm, confident and effortless beats loud, eager and planned every time.
